Domplatz 35, Erfurt
Unfortunately our meal wasn't great. Lamb was not good, the food was too salty and, in our opinion, loveless. Prices actually knitted in such a way that the food should have been good. We won't be back.
Just ordered 4 dishes for dinner; 3 of them were supposed to be vegetarian, but only 2 were. It is incredibly cheeky and inexcusable to serve meat to a vegetarian. I will avoid this place in the future!
Great service, cheeky, friendly ? Food recommended
Enjoy your meal. Adequate price-performance ratio. Friendly staff. Recommendable.
As always, the food was delicious, but the tables were far too tight just before the new lockdown. The restaurant was hopelessly overcrowded, no registration took place. We pointed this out and hurriedly left the restaurant.
Very good, i.e. Food and service very good.
The food was very tasty. Unfortunately it was a bit too warm in the shop. Very nice, motivated service. Unfortunately the naan bread was too dry. It would have tasted better with a little more butter.
No visit to Erfurt without a visit to Bombay. The food has stayed good for years. Keep it up, we'll be back ...
Restaurant was very busy, which is probably all around the Domplatz. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite suit my taste, and I usually go to Indian restaurants very often. Other dishes can be better and the service was very friendly.
Dishes very tasty and authentic. Very good service.
Unfortunately we were badly disappointed today. ? For years we have been guests of the restaurant several times a year. Today we wanted to have a nice evening as a family. After a long wait we were allowed to sit down at a table. Our youngest had to go to the toilet, but there was a big spider ?and she didn't want to enter the room and reacted a bit panic. In order not to disturb the other guests, I wanted to go out with my daughter and talk in peace. Since we didn't order right away, our whole family was asked to leave the restaurant immediately. ? What was the problem of waiting a few minutes and calmly clarifying the situation first? We are very disappointed, especially with the choice of words of the employee. ? As an aside, it was my birthday present from my family. THANK YOU for breaking this ?
Large selection. Everything great. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
The service was rude and tables were moved while we ate. The food was very tasty but expensive. After dinner we were asked to leave quickly.
Rice was undercooked, bhuna tasted like it was McDonald's curry sauce, no poppadoms and the grumpiest waiter ever. However the silver lining, the toilets smelt good
We recommend! Service very friendly, food came quickly and was very good. Are excited!!!
Very friendly service. Gave us good advice when choosing the food. ? The food and the service is great ... ? I can highly recommend it
I don't know much about Indian food but the food in Bombay is very delicious. We had lunch here and it was good value. There are three different kinds of dippings on the table and the staff explained in details the ingredients to us. Not only was the food good, the Nassi very tasty, the staff was very friendly and funny. We had a good time here.
Great, great atmosphere. The staff are VERY, VERY friendly and also available for a few jokes. You can sit outside without any problems, which of course makes sense when the weather is nice. Nevertheless, you should also enjoy the whole thing from the inside, as the equipment gives you the feeling of being on vacation. Super clean, tidy and cozy. The dishes taste excellent and are extremely tasty. We respond 100% to individual requests (sharper or less sharp). Whether alone, romantically as a couple or with the family ........ a visit is definitely worthwhile and will be rewarded with a satisfied and full stomach. The price / performance ratio is absolutely acceptable. Big portions for affordable prices. Visit and make your own picture of this location. You will not be disappointed.
The food and service were good. For vegetarians, the selection could be a little more extensive. But otherwise great!
We were really surprised about the low prices for the lunch dishes (approx. 7 EUR)! We liked the food.
I think the selection is wide-ranging and as before everything has tasted absolutely bombastic, which I have received in front of me. The seating is extremely comfortable and the distance between the tables is particularly acceptable. There you don't get the feeling of eating fish in a can in the evening. The waiter worked in a straightforward, clean and nice way.
First time at an Indian restaurant in Germany. Me being an Indian was very much disappointed. First, the attitude of the waiter. He was giving too much of unnecessary advice. Like, don't eat garlic, don't eat onions. Cmon, you are just required to serve indian food keeping it as close to the original indian culture as possible. Didn't like hai attitude much. Second, the food (esp the naan) was hard and lookediked not freshly baked but something you reheat. It was hard. No butter on it or may be just a little bit. Third, not many good options. Last, the taste was not up to the mark. Only problem was that the price was reasonable. Not very expensive considering the location and the country. But disappointed! Don't wish to go there again!
Perfect food, nice personal. I will be back for sure.
True Punjabi taste.
Don't bother and stay away. Overpriced, too much sugar and garam masala. The food was not good. If you want real Indian curry, the internet offers much better recipes and you can adjust the spices yourself. All "Indian curry restaurants" in Germany so far has been very disappointing.
Great atmosphere and great food!
Good indian food
Good Indian Restaurant in Erfurt so far. Ordering the Gravies comes with Roti and Rice is a good option to fill the tummy. Food is bit expensive, otherwise no complaints.
As a tea/chai lover, I was really disoppointed by there service. They served us old tea even though I told them that i have a german friend but still old tea. Prepared in less than a minute which is not possible for tea/Chai. I hope they will change this behaviour otherwise no one will go there again. Bad experience overall. Sorry but an honest opinion.
No authentic Indian food ! Everything taste like just boil ! Not to recommend .
Great food, great service, any choice I tried was great and by now I have had pretty much anything that is on the menu. The staff is always friendly and personal, with a nice portion of humour.
Good Indian restaurant. Food tasted great. The staff was very nice and fast. Also during the meal was asked if everything is OK. It came fast without exaggerated waiting times. Indian beer was delicious too. More like an export beer and not like Pils.
Good food a little bit expensive
Although the first impression was promising, this was the worst Indian food I had in years. I am not expecting the standard one would find in places like London, but there was nothing authentic about it, very plain, tasteless, watery food - completely overpriced. We were a group of 10, so had a range of different dishes, however, there was no exception. The service was rather average as well. Very disappointing.
Great Indian food in the middle of the city. The restaurant is new and modern and the staff is friendly. The food is very delicious and authentic. I can recommend it very much.
Waiter was friendly but food was terrible. I ordered the lamb biriyani, a dish I have ordered quite a few times from different Indian restaurants. This was by far the worst version of lamb biriyani I’ve ever tasted.
They have more number of varieties but the price is high when compared to other Indian restaurants in the city.
Good Indian food, located right by the side of Domplatz
Amazing food.
In ERFURT, this is the best indian restaurant as far as I know
Kinda pricy, food is average, not really typical Indian style. Service is not good enough and the waiter could be more friendly
Food is ok. Not very original. Service could be better. The waiter blamed us for putting the knife and fork into leftover rice, which is really big and really hard to finish for us. So we didn't give tips but then he just collected the money and turned his back to us.
Absolutely amazing place. I rarely feel passionate about food, but Bombay managed to make me slightly emotional. I ordered a chicken biryani and mango lassi. This was my first time having lassi, and it was amazing. The biryani was outstanding, full of spices and flavor. It was the best thing I have ever eaten in recent memory. The portions are also large, so there's no fear of not having enough to eat. The restaurant also possess a great ambiance, and the restrooms are worth seeing, as their staircases lead to a neat cave-like area. A must for any fan of Indian food in the area, this place will probably be one of the few places I will remember for years to come.
